Orange Wholesale provides mobile network solutions to more than 200 mobile operators worldwide. It offers both GSM and 4G LTE roaming and has partnerships with most LTE networks across Europe, Americas and Asia. Orange's 700 roaming agreements globally enable Orange Wholesale to offer 5G roaming services, SS7, IPX transport, sponsored roaming, Open Roaming Hub and Big data analytics. At the same time, Juniper Research notes that “the scale of Orange Wholesale’s offering is huge”, leveraging on 298 million retail customers worldwide. “This is crucial in the development of their Big data platform allowing it to learn from a vast user base and inform future developments. It can be utilized to allow mobile operators to structure their future strategy based on insights”, the analyst writes.
Meanwhile, Orange Wholesale’s development of a travel eSIM package is positioning it well to capitalize on a large and growing market in travel eSIMs. With Juniper Research forecasting that there will be 218 million users by 2028, this is a promising market that Orange Wholesale is moving into with a widespread presence across Africa. Juniper Research forecasts that this region will experience a 787.4% increase in the proportion of international travelers that acquire a travel eSIM between 2024 and 2028.
