On June 16th, Orange Wholesale was awarded the Best Global Carrier Award for the 4th consecutive year and the Sustainable Network & Green Connectivity award. These dual recognitions highlight the strength of its global network infrastructure, its capacity for innovation, and its commitment to more sustainable and resilient international connectivity.
With these two awards, Orange Wholesale’s shared ambition is celebrated: to deliver reliable, innovative, and responsible global connectivity to its clients
.
The Best Global Carrier Award recognizes Orange Wholesale’s ability to operate at scale while staying closely attuned to customer needs. Today, Orange Wholesale serves 1,500 wholesale clients, representing nearly 1.5 billion users, through a world-class infrastructure comprising 450,000 km of submarine fiber, 600,000 km of terrestrial fiber, 230 international multi-service PoPs, and 5,000 sites and antennas.

In 2025, this footprint was further reinforced with new submarine capacities, additional PoPs, and a significant expansion of satellite connectivity. This evolution enables the delivery of more user-centric, resilient, and high-performance international solutions.
The jury also acknowledged Orange Wholesale’s innovative momentum: expansion of Telco Cloud, virtualization of network functions, AI-driven infrastructure monitoring, launch of the Orange LiveSpace range for satellite connectivity, and deployment of 5G Core Network as-a-Service and IMS as-a-Service. These advancements earned Orange Wholesale recognition as one of the two global leaders in wholesale innovation by Omdia in 2025.
This strategy is supported by strong customer experience results: a record NPS of 36 for international operations and 89% of clients stating that Orange Wholesale meets or exceeds their expectations.
The Sustainable Network & Green Connectivity award recognizes Orange Wholesale’s efforts to reduce the environmental impact of its network infrastructure and support the industry’s sustainable evolution.
IAt Orange Wholesale, across all scopes, the reduction in carbon emissions is approximately 2% between 2024 and 2025. Carbon management has also been strengthened through measurement tools, governance, and decision-making support. Industrial choices contribute to this trajectory: increased use of refurbished equipment, a significant reuse rate, the integration of environmental criteria into procurement processes, and more environmentally-friendly construction solutions.

Orange Wholesale also acts on energy, with solar projects, energy efficiency improvements at PoPs, and modernizing the Orange Marine fleet with more energy-efficient, carbon-neutral ships.
This award also recognizes Orange Wholesale’s proactive approach to applying its expertise in climate resilience across the entire industry. Based on an exposure analysis to climate change affecting nearly 30,000 of its assets, Orange Wholesale has developed a structured approach to assist its clients in evaluating their climate risks, analyzing the vulnerabilities of their critical infrastructure, and identifying proven technical solutions. This initiative, which fits into a broader vision of value-added services around sustainability, demonstrates Orange Wholesale’s commitment to going beyond network performance to contribute to a more resilient international connectivity ecosystem.

This dual recognition reflects Orange Wholesale’s strategic approach: developing powerful, innovative global networks while fully integrating sustainability, resilience, and responsibility. By balancing network leadership with environmental commitments, the Carrier Community Global Awards 2026 acknowledge Orange Wholesale’s ability to combine international leadership with sustainable transformation.
