Orange Wholesale completes its 2024 award harvest with new recognition on network transformation, voice and diversity. These prizes highlight its commitment to innovative, state-of-the-art and inclusive operations worldwide.
The end-of-the-year season in the telecommunication business is traditionally laden with industry award ceremonies – and Orange Wholesale is one of the usual suspects on the podiums. 2024 confirmed this trend with Orange Wholesale winning three new trophies.
The 26th edition of the World Communication Awards saw Orange Wholesale winning another award highlighting this year’s “Best Network Transformation Initiative”. This accolade recognizes Orange’s efforts to move to softwarized networks. A European first, the “Orange Disaggregated Open Switch” acts as an open-source network operating system allowing Orange Wholesale to develop new softwarized network functions in-house rather than sourcing them from hardware vendors.
While the World Communication awards concern the whole telecoms industry, the Global Connectivity Awards, formerly known as Global Carrier Awards, are a staple of the Wholesale industry. Orange Wholesale confirmed its leading position in the business as it came home with two new major trophies. As “Best Wholesale Connectivity Provider - Voice” for an unprecedented third time in a row, it demonstrated that such innovations help consolidate its standing as the largest voice wholesaler on the market, both in volume and value. The addition of the Best Diversity and Inclusion Initiative Award, showcasing the Tandem Mentoring Program, tells the industry that inclusive operations giving talented women their fair chance to shine are another key lever for Orange Wholesale’s overall business success.
These last three awards conclude another remarkable year of industry recognition, with Orange Wholesale pocketing no less than nine major awards, as well as such analyst recognition as Kaleido’s Roaming Vendor Hub annual assessment with 6 “Roaming Champion” and 1 “High-Flyer” rankings.
