GlobalData recognizes Orange Wholesale's vision and strategic plan as it focuses on optimizing voice and messaging services, leveraging existing infrastructure assets, widening the services portfolio, and adding anti-fraud solutions.

Additionally, Orange Wholesale is also able to propose new digital products through API and an expansion of its CDN footprint.
The company is also embracing emerging technologies such as satellite-to-mobile calling solutions and other 5G SA products to drive further growth.

Furthermore, Orange Wholesale strengthens its subsea cable network of 450,000km with new strategic routes and ambitions to increase its presence in Dark Fiber to meet on the rise customer demand.

Transformation for enhancing global connectivity

To enhance agility and integration, Orange Wholesale has consolidated its assets under the unified brand name "Orange Wholesale." This move aligns with the company's commitment to network development, innovation and new as-a-service solutions.
In this regard GlobalData reminds that the significant revenue of EUR7.3 billion generated by the wholesale activity in 2023 illustrates the importance of this approach.

Solutions, Innovation and sustainability always in mind

As satellite constellations are emerging, GlobalData underlines Orange Wholesale’s decision to use its 5,000+ satellite dishes assets and 25 ground stations, including its Bercenay based teleport to deliver new services. This brought the carrier to seal a new distribution partnership with OneWeb and its constellation of 630 LEO satellites.

GlobalData also highlights the capacity boost of Orange Wholesale IPX network to accommodate the growth of data roaming. All this can allow a better roaming experience with different types of traffic including VoIP, 3G/4G/5G data, SS7, LTE signaling, and 5G NSA or SA networks. Since the last report, its IPX footprint reached 200+ countries through 270+ PoPs. The analyst underlines for example Orange Wholesale partnership with e& to upgrade its Middle East IPX network. This upgrade increases capacity 10 times while enabling a larger number of regional MNOs to access low latency routes.

Being a leading Tier-1 carrier that provides end-to-end global wholesale connectivity to 1,300 customers, Orange Wholesale relies on the Orange Group's ambition to be net-zero carbon by 2040, with 50% of electricity from sustainable sources by 2025. This led Orange Wholesale to find eco-friendly solutions and partners to deliver the best solutions and services to its customers.
