The Prepaid SMS Roaming is located in our network and provides a centralised solution to manage and control in real-time SMS MO prepaid sent by outbound roamers. SMS MO traffic from all outbound roamers (prepaid and postpaid) will be routed by Orange to the Prepaid SMS Roaming platform.

For prepaid customers who don’t have enough credit the Prepaid SMS Roaming platform will block the MO messages.

Follow the prerequisites to ensure a smooth integration

Orange has to be your unique SS7 provider in order to fully benefit from the solution

You must be CAMEL V2 / CAMEL V3 (provided the CAMEL V3 label “MO-SMS-CSI” in Roaming is deactivated)

You need to implement a new service logic in your SCP (Service Control Platform) based on CAMEL Phase 2/3 and a new rating plan specific to SMS MO in roaming.
